Anti-Suicide Bomber Fatwa

More than 500 UK Muslim leaders’ fatwa against suicide missions wasn’t bad news either! Issued outside the parliament it says, (quote BBC): “Islam condemns the use of violence and the destruction of innocent lives.” Further: “suicide bombings are ‘vehemently prohibited’."

Point is: It is not up to the leaders of the Muslim community in the UK or anywhere else to police its societies to prevent terrorism. That’s for the police. But it is the responsibility of everybody, especially leaders of communities, schools, religious institutions etc., to make absolutely clear what the difference between right and wrong is.
