and India (34 percent). The UK and Canada shared the fifth spot, with 32 percent claiming to be very happy.Topping the list of what makes people happy was good health, followed by financial security, home ownership, a happy marriage and children. Control over one’s life, an interesting job and leisure time also ranked high in the list. Material comforts such as luxury cars, nice clothes and gadgets, rated comparatively low.
