Smugglers Jailed for Life

Some 57,000 artifacts valued some $55 million was smuggled out of Egypt according to the court that sentenced three of seven accused to a life in prison, including the former head of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, Abdul Karim Abu Shanab. Four other accused received sentences ranging from fines to 15 year in prison.
