Election: Judges Throws the Towel

Egypt’s judges are taking part in the elections but are warning they will not endorse the result if their demands for transparency are not met. And so what if they distance themselves from the result? They don’t even have a quarter of the judges needed to cover every polling station. They wish there were independent observers at hand but they aren’t prepared to use a boycott to demonstrate they are serious. “We will not endorse a rigged election another time,” says the head of their syndicate. Too bad they’ve done it all the previous times. Too bad they’re effectively doing it this time as well. However, no one is surprised, right?
