Islamic Minister: Suicide Bombers Not Martyrs
Suicide bombers are "not martyrs but they are committing crimes against themselves, against God, against others and humanity,” said Egypt’s minister of Islamic Affairs.
Speaking at the Sharm El-Sheik conference on terrorism and jihad, Mahmoud Zakzouk said jihad was a "defensive war against aggression and it can take place through finance, education and ideas, not necessarily through fighting, because Islam did not come to declare war on the world."
He complained that some Muslims were seeking to "destroy the Islamic entity" by resorting to violence.
Ah! It’s 4:55 AM and the call to prayers just began. I shall go out and give every peacenik Sheikh I meet a big hug!
