Militants Clash with Police: 26 arrested.

Just in: this report says 26 people were arrested today in a confrontation between militants and police that involved firing of guns. The report also mentions last night's clash, about which we have heard almost nothing. (Perhaps it is the same event).

New information is revealed about the Sinai hunt for Sharm El -Sheikh terrorists suspects. Pravda, yes Pravda, reveals that 650 people were arrested. Previous reports have mentioned between 300 and 500 persons, mostly from El-Arish where troops went door to door. (Fancy them coming around for a cuppa in the middle of the night!) Latest reports also says 4,000 security personnel and 35 armed vehicles were involved in the sweep.
