Bolton UN Drama Unfolds

Britain is trying to "save" the UN from the 40 pages of changes the U.S. ambassador the UN John Bolton has put forward to the world summit that begins on Wednesday and will stage 175 world leaders on the podium, totalling a minimum 14 hours of speech. UK's foreign secretary Jack Straw is begging his U.S. counterpart, Dr. Condoleezza Rice to restrain Bolton. UN secretary general Kofi Annan tried to break the ice in a thee-part telephone conference last Tuesday.

Told ya, Bolton rocks. And if the Guardian says the UK is desperately trying to save the UN from him, it means he is doing just about everything right.
