Popstar Blocks Nour TV Campaign
A TV advertisement wouldn’t have changed the outcome of the election but Ayman Nour, leading opposition candidate have reason to cry foul play anyway. The Electoral Commission has blocked his campaign ad on grounds of plagiarism. A composer and interpreter – leading pop star Mohamed Munir, has filed a complaint, claiming the rights to the advertisements background music. Even if they are right, it could have been settled afterwards. Even if it is plagiarism, it shouldn’t be a matter for the Electoral Commission. Dirty play, to say the least.
