Britain is introducing special heavy-duty ambulances that will give seriously obese people a dignified ride to the hospital. The investment in a fleet of a dozen super sized and reinforced ambulances, each able to carry patients up to 285 kg, is cheaper than the increased use of fire trucks with cranes – and less embarrassing for the patients (and less fun for sick minded neighbors like me).
